Who we are

Govscape Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate the AI governance platform at portal.govscape.app and the marketing site at govscape.app. Contact us at hello@govscape.app.

We are the data controller for personal data we collect through these services.

What data we collect

Account data. Your name, work email address and job role when you are invited to the platform.

Usage data. Features accessed, access times and IP address, used to operate the platform, detect abuse and improve the product.

Governance data. Documents, assessments and control evidence uploaded to generate your organisation's governance scores. This data belongs to your organisation.

Contact data. Information submitted through our enquiry forms.

How we use your data

We use data to provide and operate the platform, authenticate accounts, generate and display governance scores, communicate about accounts, improve the platform and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

Legal basis

Our primary legal basis is contract performance. For cookies and analytics, we rely on legitimate interests or consent as described in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share data with

We share data only with sub-processors necessary to run the service, including our cloud infrastructure, database, AI model and error-monitoring providers. Each is bound by a data processing agreement. We also share data when required by law.

International transfers

Where sub-processors operate outside the UK and EEA, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent adequacy mechanism.

Retention

Account and governance data is retained for the duration of your organisation's contract and deleted within 90 days of termination unless a longer period is required by law. Contact enquiries are retained for 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. Email hello@govscape.app. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
